"When we abstract the general picture of all leaves the resulting image is certainly 'real' & has an ontological relationship to a particular leaf." This sounds Platonic to me. The particular leaf partakes in the form of leaf. Is there a way to express this without the general/particular dualism that inevitably favors the general as more truthful than the particular?

You said a lot that I have been thinking through. I am grateful to you for forcing me to re-think the relation/continuum between vitual and real-time reality. It's a butt kicker.
